==>Runescape Mini-Quests Guide List<==

Runescape Mini-Quest Start: Begin by speaking to one of the Archaeologists sitting at a specimen table on the first floor of the Varrock Museum.

Runescape Quests: Digsite Quest.

What You Need: Nothing!

The Mini-Quest

Getting Started

To begin, simply talk to any one of the archaeologists sitting at a specimen table behind the roped off area on the first floor.

Archaeologist ArchaeologistArchaeologist

Rock pickSprecimen brushLeather bootsLeather glovesHe will then tell you something about being qualified to help them and then will tell you that you will need a Rock Pick, a Specimen Brush, a pair of Leather Gloves, and some Leather Boots. These can be found on a rack located on the southern wall:

The southern wall

Any other gloves or boots won't work, so use the ones found in the Museum. Once you have the items and have equipped the gloves and boots, talk to any archaeologist again. He now tells you that you may help the museum by cleaning off some of their dig site finds to earn Kudos. Scroll to the bottom of the guide for an explanation about Kudos.

Gathering Artifacts

Uncleaned findWalk over to the Dig Site specimen rocks and take an Uncleaned Find from the eastern rock (the western rock never has any specimens). You can do this by "searching" the rock.

Search the rock

Now go to a specimen table and use your Uncleaned Find with it. You will either accidentally destroy your artifact or manage clean it off. Take your cleaned specimen to an archaeologist and tell him you've found something interesting. If it is special he will tell you about the object's history and which display case it should go in, and if it's worthless you can put it in one of the storage crates to receive a small reward.

Some items you may receive as the reward are: a Pot, a Bowl, Coal, Iron Ore, Copper Ore, Mithril ore, an Uncut Jade, Iron Dagger, Iron Knife, or a few coins.

If you find a Clean Necklace, talk to an archaeologist who will talk to you about enchanting it with the level 49 Magic (enchant level 3). Now when you enchant a Ruby Necklace, it becomes a Digsite Pendant and gains the wearer the ability to be teleported up to 5 times to the Dig Site. Once you have used all 5 charges, the Pendant will dissolve away and vanish. You’ll need another pendant to continuing teleporting. After the conversation, an archaeologist will take your newly found Necklace away. You’ll need to find another necklace to enchant or craft your own.

Items obtained from cleaning an Uncleaned Specimen:

  • Clean necklaceClean Necklace: Talk to an archaeologist for information on how to enchant it.

Congratulations! You have now completed the Varrock Museum Mini-Quest! If you have maxed out your Kudos, the Museum is now less interesting as the only activity you can do is clean off artifacts on the ground floor for small rewards. If you haven't maxed your Kudos out yet, then keep on doing those quests, natural history quizzes, and cleaning off those artifacts for the maximum amount of Kudos, and the experience that comes with them!
