==>Runescape Quest Guide List<==

Runescape Quest Start: Begin by speaking to Trufitus in a small house just north of Tai Bwo Wannai.

Runescape Skills: 3 Herblore, and the ablity to defend against level 53 Jogres.

Quests: Druidic Ritual

What You Need: Snake Weed, Sito Foil, Rogues' Purse, Volencia Moss, and Ardrigal Herbs (found during quest).

Getting Started

Firstly, head to the small village of Tai Bwo Wannai, found south of Brimhaven onTrufitus Karamja Island. Talk to Trufitus, a native found in a small house a short distance north of the main village area. Ask him where everyone is, and he says that they've left the village.

Ask him about how you can help, and he tells you that he needs several herbs to mix a potion so that he can commune with the gods. Tell him that you'll give it a try.

Here are the locations of each of the herbs:

A map of herb locations

Snake Weed

The first herb that Trufitus needs is called Snake Weed, and it apparently grows near water. Head south of the village, past several level 44 Jungle Spiders and level 32 Tribesmen, and then west towards the water. Near the river should be a Marshy Jungle Vine, so search it to get an unidentified herb which when identified should be Snake WeedSnake weed. Bring this back to Trufitus and he should give you another clue.

Ardrigal

Head north of Trufitus' hut until you reach a cliff, and then head east to a peninsula with several Palm Trees on it. Search one to find another unidentified herb, which will be ArdrigalArdrigal when identified. Bring this herb back to Trufitus.

Sito Foil

The next herb required for the potion just happens to grow well in areas that have recently been burned by fire, like a campfire. Go south into the village, and towards the west side should be an area of Scorched Earth. Search it to find the herb, identify it to see that it's Sito FoilSito foil and bring it back to Trufitus.

Volencia Moss

This type of herb is commonly found clinging onto rocks that are constantly disturbed, much like a mining site. Head southeast of the hut until you reach a group of rocks and search an empty one to find the herb. Again, identify it to see that it's Volencia MossVolencia moss and give it to Trufitus.

Rogues Purse

The last herb that is needed to make the potion is known as Rogues Purse, and it can be found in a cave to the north of the village. Just head back to the cliff to the north, follow it to the east and then follow the coastline west until you reach a pile of rocks. Search them and then enter the cave. Once inside, head south past the level 53 Jogres until the end of the passage, and then search the Fungus on the wall to obtain another herb. When identified it should be Rogues PurseRogues purse, so bring it back to Trufitus.

After taking the last herb back to Trufitus, he will give you some Herblore experience and you'll be finished with the quest.

Runescape Quest Guide: In Search of the Myreque (Myreque Part 1)

==>All Runescape Guide List<==

==>Runescape Quest Guide List<==

Runescape Quest Start: Begin by talking to Vanstrom Klause in the Hair of the Dog Tavern in Canifis.

Runescape Skills: 25 Agility, and the ability to defeat level 97 monsters.

Quests: Nature Spirit.

What You Need: A Druid Pouch with about 15 or more Nature Harvests, a blessed Silver Sickle, 6 Planks, 225 Steel Nails, a Hammer, a Steel Longsword, 2 Steel Swords, a Steel Dagger, Steel Mace, Steel Warhammer, and about 50gp.

Getting Started

First off, talk to Vanstrom Klause in the northeast corner of the Hair of the Dog Vanstrom KlauseTavern in Canifis. He says that his friends need help, so ask what they need help with. He tells you that they're short of weapons, and that they need a Steel Longsword, 2 Steel Swords, a Steel Dagger, Steel Mace, and a Steel Warhammer. Tell him that you could help him out, and then ask where you need to bring the weapons. He mentions that a boatman in Mort'ton may be able to help you out.

The Hollows

Cyreg PaddlehornOnce you have the Steel weapons that the Myreque need, make your way through the Mort Myre Swamp with your Druid Pouch, Silver Sickle, weapons and other required items. Head to Mort'ton and talk to Cyreg Paddlehorn, found to the southeast of the entrance to the village, near the edge of the town.

At first, he acts like he doesn't know what you're talking about. Say that you guess that they'll just die without their Steel weapons, and then reply to him by choosing the 'resourceful enough to get their own weapons' remark. Then say that the deaths are on his hands if he doesn't help, and then ask him what kind of man he is to say that he doesn't care. He then finally agrees to help.

You'll need a Druid Pouch with Nature Harvests in it (at least 15 to be safe), and a blessed Silver Sickle, as well as 6 Planks, 225 Steel Nails and a Hammer. Give him 3 Planks to fix the 'Swamp Boaty,' try and board it, and then pay him 10gp to cover the loan. After a short boat ride, you'll find yourself in the Hollows.

Curpile FoydNow head north until you find a tree that is climbable, and then climb up to find a greatly in-need-of-repair Rope Bridge. You'll need to repair each of the 3 sections that collapse as you attempt to walk across by choosing the 'Repair' option. After repairing each section, climb down the tree and talk to Curpile Foyd, who is nearby and to the north.

The Myreque

Curpile just wants to ask you 3 questions to be sure that you're who you say you are. The following hints (also obtainable by speaking to Cyreg) should help you out:

Named the Myreque: 'Hidden in the Myre.'

Radigad Ponfit: A Mercenary from Asgarnia.

Veliaf (Hurtz): The Leader.

Ivan: He's the baby of the group.

Sani Piliu: A lovely girl; a bit shady.

Harold Evans: A bit hot-headed.

Polmafi Ferdygris: The Brains of the operation.

Drakens: Family rumored to rule Morytania.

After answering his questions, head north and open the doors leading underground. Head north until you find a Stalagmite hiding a cave entrance, and then try and Squeeze-Past to get inside. First talk to Veliaf, and then introduce yourself to each of the other members, asking a question or 2. Then talk to Veliaf again , when suddenly a shady-looking Mist will appear, which turns out to be Vanstrom Klause!

The Hellhound

Vanstrom will immediately kill Sani and Harold, and then he'll leave his level 97 pet A Hellhound!Hellhound to deal with the rest. It will attack you, but it shouldn't be very difficult to defeat. After you kill it, 4 sets of Big Bones will drop, as well as 2 uncut Rubies.

Now talk to Veliaf again and ask him how to get out. He mentions a moveable wall, so leave the room and head further north. Search the wall to find a door, and then climb up the ladder to the north of the room. You'll find yourself just south of the Hair of the Dog Tavern again. Now just talk to the Stranger in the tavern, where you originally spoke to Vanstrom to complete the quest.

Congratulations, In Search of the Myreque Quest complete!

Runescape Quest Guide: In Aid of the Myreque (Myreque Part 2)

==>All Runescape Guide List<==

==>Runescape Quest Guide List<==

Runescape Quest Start: Begin by speaking to Veliaf Hurtz in the Myreque hideout below the Hair of the Dog Inn in Canifis.

Runescape Skills: 15 Mining, 25 Crafting, 7 Magic.

Quests: In Search of the Myreque (Myreque Part 1) and Nature Spirit.

What You Need: Food (any kind will do) Spade, Buckets (5 is advised), Pick-axe, 11 Planks (buy at builders store in Mort'ton, re-spawn: behind Barbarian agility course or Graveyard lvl-19 wild), 36 Nails (you get 30 during the quest), 10 Bronze axes (Bob in Lumbridge), 4 Tinderboxes (any general store), 10 Mackerels (Catherby) or 10 Snails (Mort Myre Swamp), Swamp Paste, 2 Steel bars , 1 Coal, Silver Sickle (blessed), hammer (re-spawn on the top floor of one of the northwestern houses), 1 Mithril bar, 1 Silver bar, 1 cut Sapphire, 1 Cosmic rune, 1 Water rune, 1 Soft clay, 1 Rope.

Recommended Quests: Shades of Mort'ton, Ghost Ahoy.

Recommended Items: Ectophial, charged Glory Amulet.

The Quest

Here is the route to the quest start point:

Map to the hideout entrance

Red is the route from Varrock, Yellow is the route after Ectofuntus teleport, Green is after Canifis teleport (Ancient Magicks). Go down the trapdoor behind Canifis pub, then push the Strange wall, walk a bit south-east and Squeeze-past stalagmite.

To start the quest talk to Veliaf. Go through the whole conversation and he will tell you to find a new hide-out. This, he thinks, could be found at Burgh de Rott, a village south of Mort'ton.

Veliaf Hurtz

Go out through the wooden doors a bit south-east, across the bridge in the south, then take the boat to Mort'ton. Walk south through the town, across a bridge and you will have found Burgh de Rott:

Burgh de Rott

When you try to enter the town people will throw rotten tomatoes at you. Talk to them and you still will not be able to get in. Search a nearby table, then search the chest next to it. Place some food in the chest (table and chest are in the red square) and that is your key into the town: They now seem to trust you.

Search the table

Talk to any of the Villagers and ask if there are any 'out of the way places'. They will tell you about a trapdoor you could enter in the pub. At the end of the conversation a bit becomes clear: You will need to help rebuild the town.

For the next part you need a pick-axe to clear the rubble on top of the trapdoor. In the pub climb over 'Broken down wall' and use your pick-axe on the pile of rubble.

A bit west of the pub is a well with a bucket re-spawn next to it: Take a bucket before entering the basement. Now down the trapdoor and into the basement. Bring a spade. You now need to remove 15 piles of rubble. Be sure to have at least 6 free inventory spots to carry it.

Myreque basement

In all you will need 5 buckets or 5 trips to free the basement of its rubble. Use your pick-axe to 'mine rubble' (gives 30 exp per pile) then use your spade on rubble to fill the bucket and to pick up other 'rubble' consisting of various types of nails, broken glass and a rock. Do this with three piles of rubble, then fill your bucket with the rubble.

Now you need to empty the bucket(s). This can be done inside the village in just one spot: On the rubble pile behind the pub (you may also right-click on the bucket and choose the "empty" option). Once cleared you will find a plaque on the wall:

A wall plaque

Search this and this will show:

You read the wall plaque

Two items you will have found are a Dusty Scroll Dusty scroll and a Plaster fragment. Plaster fragment

The cellar is now cleared. Go back up and talk to Razvan (or any villager) and you now will be asked to help with rebuilding the town.

Razvan

For the general store is needed: 6 planks and 24 nails the type of nail doesn't matter, use the ones you picked up cleaning the basement of the pub. Planks can be bought at Mort'ton if you have finished Shades of Mort'ton quest.

Search the hole in the wall, then climb the ladder outside and search the hole in the roof. Use the planks on both the holes and go back in to talk to Aurel. He will now ask you to help stock the store. To do this you will need to collect some items for him. Everybody will need to collect 10 Bronze Axes and 3 Tinderboxes. You will also have to collect either 10 Mackerel or 10 Snails. You will also be given a Crate to store these items in to save some inventory spaces. Fill the Crate with the required items and take it back to Aurel.

Next you are asked to help repair the bank. You will need 2 planks and 1 Swamp paste to repair it. Both can be bought at Builders store in Mort'ton. Use the plank with the bank booth and it is done. Talk to Cornelius and he will tell you to fix the wall. For this you will again need 3 planks and 18 nails (of any kind). Talk to Cornelius again and he will tell you you need to recruit someone, ask him if he is up for the job and he will say yes. You now have access to your bank.

Talk to any of the villagers and they will tell you to fix the furnace.

Helena

You will find the furnace in the south-east corner of the village. Search the broken furnace:

Broken Furnace

You will need two steel bars to repair the hole, one coal and a tinderbox to light it. Use the steel bar with the broken furnace and this will repair the hood. Search repaired furnace and you will find it is without fuel. Use one coal with it, and then use the tinderbox on the furnace.

A cut-scene follows...

A fire in the furnace

And you end up with more trouble ahead. Gadderanks has turned up to collect blood from the town's people. Talk to Gadderanks who is at the General Store. He wants you to give blood. Talk to the others around and Gadderanks will speak to you:

Gadderanks

Gadder HammerAttack him and will be down but not dead. He will tell you his Vampire Juvinate will protect him. Now wield your Silver Sickle (b) and kill the Vampire Juvinate. Once they are dead talk to Gadderanks and he will tell you about a potion. He will also drop his Gadderhammer.

Gadderanks

Talk to Veliaf and he will tell you to meet him in the old hide-out in the Hollows. Head over there and talk to him again.

Veliaf

Now talk to either Polmafi or Radigad and they will go to the new hide-out in Burg de Rott. Talk to Veliaf again and he will ask you to guide Ivan Strom to the Temple. Talk to Ivan and you will be given a choice of two routes.

Routes to the temple

Route 1 is described as the hard route, leads through Canifis, and you will need to defeat two level 75 Vampire Juvinate.

Route 2 is the longer route through Mort Myre Swamps and you will face four level 50 Vampire Juvinate.

Note: Before you go, you have the opportunity to equip Ivan with Steel Legs, Chainmail, a Steel Medium Helm and a Sickle. You can also give him up to 15 pieces of food (he only accepts Snails, Salmon, Slimey Eels or Stews).

The best option is route 1. Wield your Silver Sickle (b) and prepare to be ambushed. You will need to protect Ivan Storm as he will flee back to the hide-out if he is down to half health. The trick is to use the surrounding so the Vampire Juvinate cannot reach Ivan when you fight them. Ivan will follow you anywhere you go and you have a bit of time to find the right spot. This is one option:

Vampyre JuvinateMap

Should Ivan Storm flee you will need to return to the hide-out and try again. There is a way out that will teleport you near Canifis: an escape route at the south end of the 'room' you are in. The faster way to get back is to log out and log in again.

Library KeyNow head to Drezel and talk to him. Either go through all the options or directly choose the option: "the people of Morytania rely on this" and he will give you a 'Temple library key'. Use this with the keyhole between the shelves on the eastern wall. A trapdoor will open and you go down into the library. Now search the bookcases and you will end up with three books in your inventory: an 'Ancient book' a Battered tome' and a 'Leather book'. Read all three and head back to the Hollows.

A bit north of the entrance to the hide-out is a boarded up cave entrance. Use a hammer with the wooden board and enter the cave. Walk south then east and you will come to Ivandis Seergazes tomb. Use soft clay on it and you will end up with a mould.

Rod Mould

Silvthrill RodNow find a furnace with a Mithril bar, Silver bar and a cut Sapphire in your inventory. Use either the Mithril or Silver Bar on the furnace to make a 'Silvthrill rod'. Cast 'Enchant level 1 Jewelry' on it and head back to the Temple where Drezel is. Head through the gate past Drezel into a larger room. With a rope in your inventory, use the 'Silvthrill rod' with the well in the center of the room and you will get a 'Rod of Ivandis(10)' Head back to the hideout in the basement of the Burgh de Rott Pub and give the Rod to Veliaf.

Quest complete!

Congratulations, In Aid of the Myreque Quest complete!

Rewards

  • 2,000 Attack, Defense, Strength and Crafting experience.
  • The ability to make Guthix Balance Potions and Rods of Ivandis
  • You get to keep the Gadderhammer.
  • 2 Quest Points

The Gadderhammer

The Gadderhammer is dropped by Gadderanks when you kill him. It's a two-handed weapon with speed like a longsword. If you lose it, you can buy it back from the general store in Burgh de Rott for 3,000 coins or buy from another player.

Gadderhammer equipment stats

Like explained in the guide, these can be smithed by using a silver bar with a furnance with a mithril bar and a cut sapphire in your inventory, before using the spell Level-1 enchant and attaching a rope to it, and finally using it on the well in the Paterdomus Dungeon. Just like the Gadderhammer, it's got longsword speed, but this one is one-handed. It is, along with the Silver Sickle (b), the only weapon that effects vampyres. Its special attack can only be used on vampyres, and will freeze them in the air so you can use Guthix Balance Potion on it.

Runescape Quest Guide: Icthlarin's Little Helper

==>Runescape Quest Guide List<==

Runescape Quest Start: Begin by speaking to the Wanderer south of Pollnivneach.

Runescape Skills: The ability to defeat level 80-91 enemies.

Quests: Gertrude's Cat.

What You Need: Desert Robes and Boots, Water Skins, Shantay Passes, Tinderbox, Willow Logs, 2 Buckets, a Knife, 30gp and a Kitten, Cat or Overgrown Cat.

Recommended Skills: A high Agility level, and an aptitude for solving puzzles.

Getting Started

Speak to the Wanderer located in their camp north of Sophanem, which is south of Pollnivneach and over the River Elid. Be sure to have a Cat, Tinderbox and Full Waterskins with you, and be careful of the level 63 Crocodiles near the river! When you talk to her she will overreact to seeing your Cat. Give her the supplies that she asks for, and then she will ask you to look into her eyes.

Canopic JarYou will wake up in the new City of the Dead, known as Sophanem, with a Canopic Jar in your backpack. Now touch the door of the nearby Pyramid.

The Pyramid

Unholy SymbolYou will have some sort of dream or flashback, as if you were hypnotized. You'll also find an Unholy Symbol in your inventory. Be careful of the Crushing Walls, and after you're past them, you'll need to watch out for Trap Floors. Don't step where the red X's (on the below picture) are, or you will need to start over again. If you get hit by a wall, it will cause 8 damage.

The red line is the safe path

Now that you're past these dangerous obstacles, you should find some level 84 Mummies, as well as more Crushing Walls. After this, some level 98 Scarabs will appear. Please note that both the Mummies and the Scarabs can poison you for about 3 damage. When you get to a pit, jump across it, and note that you will need at least 20% energy to jump it. When you have jumped across the pit successfully, go west and try to open the door.

You'll have to solve a puzzle in order to enter the room to the east. When you click on a tile, that tile and the 8 surrounding tiles will flip over, revealing parts of the image. Keep clicking on the squares until the image of the bird is completed. You can also reset the puzzle by clicking on the bird to the right.

Puzzle

Sphinx tokenAfter solving the puzzle, the flashback will end and you will be back at the Pyramid entrance, fully healed and cured of any poison effects you may have had before. Speak to the Sphinx, ask him for help, and he will ask you to solve a riddle: A husband and a wife have 6 sons. Each son has a sister. How many people are in the family? The answer is 9, and be sure to get it correct or you may lose your Cat. Now he will ask you to speak to the new High Priest in the southwest part of town. He will give you a Sphinx's Token.

The High Priest

After speaking to him, he will tell you to put the Canopic Jar back inside of the Pyramid. Cross into the Pyramid as before, but before you jump the pit you'll have another flashback. Enter the door, and you'll see 4 Jars lined up. You need to pick one of these up (the one you must take is random), and once you do, you will be attacked by a monster ranging from level 65-80. Once it's been killed, pick the jar up again.

Try jumping the pit again and you'll get out of the flashback. Jump the pit again, and then resolve the puzzle. Drop the Jar in the same place as you took it from in the flashback, and then return to the High Priest. He wants you to make the spirit rest so that they can be rid of the plague.

Spirit Ceremony

Now give your Willow Logs to the Carpenter in the east part of town, and then speak to the Embalmer to the south. He will need:

  • Salt - Use a bucket on the small lake north of Sophanem, go to the southeast-most part of town, use the bucket of Salt Water on the Centrepiece and search it.
  • Sap - Use a Knife on an evergreen (or any "pointy" tree) while carrying a bucket. Evergreens can be found near the Body Altar, near the Castle Wars Arena, and north of Falador.
  • Linen - Bought from the Linen Worker in Sophanem for 30gp.

Speak with the High Priest again and he will head to the ceremony spot. Go speak with the Carpenter and he will give you an Holy Symbol (if you have already given him Willow Logs).

Attacking the High Priest

Go back into the Pyramid, make your way to the pit, and you'll have another flashback. Afterwards, you'll find that your Holy symbol has become Unholy! Go to the eastern chamber and hide the Unholy Symbol in any of the Sarcophagi. Exit the room, jump the pit, and go to the eastern chamber again. The Priests have already begun the ceremony, but they won't listen to you...

The Wanderer will appear and she will turn out to be the Devourer! She'll posses 1 of the level 91 Priests and cast spells at you. Kill it, speak with the High Priest again, and then you'll have another flashback and meet Icthlarin himself!

Icthlarin

Leave the Pyramid, speak to the High Priest, and Quest Complete!

Congratulations, Icthlarin's Little Helper Quest complete!

Rewards

  • A Cat Speak Amulet - allows you to speak to your cat! If lost, you can get another from the Sphinx.
  • 4,500 Thieving experience, 4,000 Agility and Woodcutting experience.
  • Free access to Sophanem
  • 2 Quest Points

Post-Quest Flashbacks

If you equip your Catspeak Amulet after the quest, then speak to your cat or kitten, tell him that you're still confused. You'll get to see another flashback in which the Wanderer hypnotizes you. Speaking to your cat a second time will allow you to hear what your cat thinks has happened. If you try and talk to your cat a third time about the quest, it won't say anything.

Runescape Quest Guide: Horror From the Deep

==>All Runescape Guide List<==

==>Runescape Quest Guide List<==

Runescape Quest Start: Begin by talking to Larrissa near the Lighthouse north of the Barbarian Outpost.

Runescape Skills: 35 Agility and the ability to kill a level 100 Monster.

Quests: The Barcrawl from the Scorpion Catcher Quest must be completed.

What You Need: 60 Steel Nails, 2 Planks, a Hammer, Tinderbox, Swamp Tar, Molten Glass, 1 Air, Water, Fire and Earth Rune, an Arrow and a Sword.

Getting Started

First off, head to the lighthouse located northwest of the Barbarian Outpost by Larissajumping across the Basalt Rocks on the coast until you reach a cliff-like island. Head north to the Lighthouse and talk to Larissa who asks for your help. Ask her what you can help her with, and she explains about her boyfriend being missing, and she'll tell you to visit her cousin to see if he can help.

Fixing the Lighthouse

Lighthouse KeyNow head back to the Barbarian Outpost and go in through the gate. Now climb through the Pipe to the south and talk to Gunnjorn the Barbarian near the house to the southwest. He should give you a Lighthouse Key, which will allow you to get into the Lighthouse.

Now you'll need 2 Planks, 60 Steel Nails and a Hammer to fix the bridge. Planks can be found just to the north of the outpost, and Steel Nails can be either Smithed or traded. Go back to the Lighthouse and head southeast along the path until you reach a broken bridge. Use a plank with each side of the bridge to repair it, and then head back to Larissa.

The broken bridge

After speaking to her, go inside of the Lighthouse and head up the staircase. Search the bookcase, take all 3 books and read through them. Go up the stairs and use some Swamp Tar with the Lighting Mechanism. Use a Tinderbox with the mechanism to light it, and then use some Molten Glass with it to fix the light.

The Dagannoth

Strange WallClimb down the ladder to the main floor, and then climb down the Iron Ladder to find a basement. On the north wall should be a Strange Wall, which you need to use 1 of each Elemental Rune, as well as any type of Arrow and Sword with it to open. Remember, you won't get any of these items back later.

Now open the Strange Wall and climb down the Iron Ladder to find a cavern, as well as Jossik who seems to be injured. Talk to him, and he says that a monster attacked him. You'll then be attacked by a level 100 Dagannoth, and after killing it you'll be attacked by another, meaner, level 100 Dagannoth Mother.

The trick to defeating the Dagannoth Mother is that you can only hurt it with certain attacks when it's a specific color:

  • Orange - Melee attacks
  • Green - Ranged attacks
  • White - Air spells
  • Blue - Water spells
  • Red - Fire spells
  • Brown - Earth spells

Note: if you're colorblind or find it difficult to distinguish between the colors, the dagannoth's color change will be announced in the chat box.

Usually, the Dagannoth Mother will hit you with melee attacks, so it's a good idea to use your Protect From Melee prayer if you have it and bring several prayer potions. It may also Range at you for a short amount of time. Bring food, combat gear, Runes for attack spells, and Ranging equipment. You don't need to bring Runes or Ranging Gear, but it's helpful if you do.

Rusty CasketAfter killing it you'll find a Rusty Casket, and you will find yourself just outside of the Strange Wall. Your quest is complete! You can bring the Rusty Casket to Jossik, who can now be found upstairs in the library. He'll ask you what it says, and you'll have the chance to choose 1 of the 3 Gods: Saradomin, Zamorak and Guthix. After choosing a 2nd time, you'll receive a Damaged Book of that God.

Congratulations, Horror From the Deep Quest complete!

Rewards

  • Saradomin BookGuthix BookZamorak BookOnce you visit Jossik with the Rusty Casket and pick a God, you'll get a Damaged Book of that god, which when wielded gives +5 to Prayer.
