The Barbarian Outpost is situated south of the Lighthouse, which is north of the Kingdom of Kandarin.





To enter this course you will need level 35 Agility to squeeze through the pipe and access the course.







Beware! This course is slightly hazardous; you may fail obstacles, causing damage to yourself. It is recommended you take some food to recover any lost hitpoints.

Agility - Ape Atoll

The Ape Atoll Agility Course is a high level obstacle course located south of Marim on Ape Atoll. You will need to have finished Monkey Madness to unlock the Ape Atoll Agility Course.







Ape Atoll can be reached by glider or by using the Teleport to Ape Atoll spell. To travel by glider you will need to speak to Daero in Blurberry's Bar in the Gnome Stronghold. You will then fly to Crash Island and from there catch a boat to Ape Atoll.







To use the course you will also need to carry a monkey greegree made from a large or small ninja monkey. If you have lost your greegree you will need to make a new one.



To make a new greegree you can purchase a monkey talisman from Tutab's Magical Market, located just north of the agility course. You will then have to repeat the method used during the quest in order to turn it into a greegree A monkey talisman will cost 1000 coins. To talk to Tutab you will, of course, need to be wearing a monkeyspeak amulet. To make a new amulet you will have to repeat the method you used during the Monkey Madness quest.

Gnomes around the world delight at travel, but they simply hate having to walk everywhere. To get around this they developed a series of shortcuts. These are fairly simple to negotiate for most gnomes - fun, even. For humans they often pose more of a challenge. Should they succeed, however, a lot of tedious walking time will be saved.
















You'll find these shortcuts spread throughout the world. The in-game skill guide also lists, for ease of reference during play, the special areas only accessible with specific Agility levels.

Does Agility make a difference on free servers/worlds?



Yes, your Agility level will still affect your run energy recovery rate on free servers.



If I don't have the required level, can I use an Agility potion to use the shortcuts?



Some Agility shortcuts will allow the use of an Agility potion to let you pass. This does not apply to all shortcuts, so make sure you are familiar with your route if you are planning on taking a potion.



How do I get into the Morytania/Werewolf Agility Arena?



To get into this arena, you will need to wear the 'Ring of Charos'. This is obtained by completing the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest.



When I train at an Agility course, can I do one obstacle again and again, or do I have to complete the lap?



Doing one obstacle over and over is fine. However, you will miss out on the lap bonus, which is very generous.



I am training my Agility at an Agility course, but I do not get any experience for completing a full lap of the course. Why?



You need to complete every obstacle to get the extra experience for a lap. If you have to stop and rest, be sure you start from where you left off, or you will lose your bonus for completing the course.



How do I increase my running energy?



You can either increase your Agility level on one of the courses or you can use one of the energy restoration items. For a list of these you should read Agility - The Basics.

Agility - Agility Pyramid

The Agility Pyramid is located just north-east of Sophanem in the Kharidian Desert. To first get to the Agility Pyramid, you will need to climb down a rock slide. This requires a minimum of level 30 Agility. To do the obstacles on this pyramid you will also need a minimum agility level of 30. You can use an Agility potion to increase your Agility level so you can start the pyramid at level 27.

Once you have climbed down you will meet Simon Templeton who will ask you to retrieve an artefact from the top of the pyramid. As you progress up the pyramid the chance of falling from an obstacle increases. If you fall from an obstacle you will fall to the level below and continue ascending the pyramid from that position. You will take damage when you fall from an obstacle! This Agility course is located in the desert and the heat will affect you by slowly decreasing your hitpoints. To stop this from happening, it is highly recommended that you take waterskins and\or wear desert robes.

This pyramid consists of five levels. Enter the pyramid on the first level from where Simon stands (at the south-west corner staircase shown on the map above). Then follow each level round in a clockwise direction avoiding each obstacle until you reach the stairs to go up to the next level.



Note: You do not receive a lap bonus for completing each level of the pyramid.

*Please note this is based on a character completing the obstacles in the pyramid without failing. If you were to fail some obstacles, you will gain more experience as you will have to repeat some obstacles.



On the fifth level the artefact (a golden pyramid) is on top of a block. Use the climbing rocks on the side of the block to climb up and get it.

Once you have the pyramid in your inventory, avoid the last two obstacles and take the stairs (from within the block the pyramid was on) down to the ground level. Travel back down to Simon and he will exchange this for 1000gp! This is the only Agility area where you can earn gold.
