Agility Help

==>All Runescape Guide List<==

==>Runescape Agility Guide List<==

Agility is a members only skill that regenerates your running energy faster, depending on what level you are. With the Gnome shortcut update released in September 2005, it is now also faster to travel around the land of RuneScape thanks to our Gnomish adventurers.

This guide will outline the most enjoyable way to get to 99 agility, most of it based on first hand experience. It will take you through all the Agility courses and arenas that can raise your agility to your desired level. Be like the gnomes and use your agility in order to climb up mountain rocks, dodge through narrow crevices and crawl through low tunnels. Enjoy!

Training Tips

There is no quest needed to be able to start on Agility, but you must be able to access the Tree Gnome Stronghold for the first course.

Level 1-25

Swamp ToadThis will probably be the most boring part of your Agility training, so be sure not to train it all in one day and then get sick of the skill. It sounds really tedious, but you have to do the Gnome Stronghold course 91 times to reach 25 Agility. If you do get bored, you can always have a match of Gnomeball. If both of these things bore you, take a break and try some shortcuts, which will raise your Agility by a few exp. I suggest the Rope Swing at Brimhaven or the Stepping Stones at Karamja. Once you reach 25, give yourself a pat on the back and celebrate your awesome Agility level by thrashing Gnomes at a game of Gnomeball.

Level 25-35

Ring of CharosIf you haven't already, do the Creature of Fenkenstrain Quest, in order to obtain the Ring of Charos. Go south from the finish of the Quest, and you'll find a trapdoor guarded by a Werewolf. Wield your Ring of Charos and go down the trapdoor. Head to the werewolf close to the red arrows and have a little chat. Depending on your time doing this course, you'll receive a certain amount of experience. A way to keep this fun is to try to beat your previous score. The Gnome Stronghold Course is also a good option for these levels, as it is pretty fast per lap and looks like a much more pleasant environment! Before you know it, you'll be 35 agility!

Level 35-40

Warrior HelmThe Barbarian Outpost is the best place to go for these levels, and should be used until level 45 or so. This gives you a few more levels that will help you stay safe in the Agility rena.

Level 40-52

Agility Arena TicketYou can now do all of the Brimhaven Arena obstacles, so head there for a nice chat with some other Agility fans and some wicked experience. The best part of this Arena is that the obstacles give you experience, and so do the tickets that you can trade in. Bring some food, as you will probably need it. Avoid darts at all costs unless you have an agility potion, because on failing they will lower your Agility level, and if it drops below 40 you will have a hard time doing the Arena. If you get bored, cash in your tickets and do some Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup. When you get up to 48 and have completed Monkey Madness and have 70 cooking, I highly recommend the Ape Atoll course. There's unlimited food (from the stalls) and extremely fast exp. Once you get to 50 you can do the best part of Agility:

Rogue's Den!

Rogue TopIf you get bored of training agility, but you want to put it to good use, visit the Rogue's Den under Burthorpe Inn. A combination of thieving and agility can bring you the helpful and loved Rouge's armour. The Rogue toolkit can be used when exploring and question as a versatile piece of equipment. It can change into a spade, rope, chisel or tinderbox and it is stackable in your inventory. The whole Rogue Armour set only weighs a light 2kg - perfect for running away from the crime scene or dodging deadly blades.

Level 52-60

A SkullFrom level 52 on, you'll want to use the wilderness Agility course. Training efficiently can get you around 40,000 exp per hour, which is very good experience compared to the other courses. the lap bonus is also very generous, so be sure to do the entire course! Just be careful of the occasional PKer that wanders by, looking for a kill.

Level 60-75

Slayer StaffCongratulations! 60 agility is an achievement to be proud of! You now have access to the final Agility course, the Werewolf Course. You can continue with this course until 99, but it is recommended to do the Wilderness Course.

75+

PineappleOnce you reach level 75, you also have the option of using the Ape Atoll course. Of course, you can use it sooner, but it isn't worth it because you will fail too often to really effectively train. Bring a knife with you, and if you run out of health pick a nearby pineapple and cut it with your knife. Each pineapple heals 8hp.

Once you reach 99, or whatever level your goal is, give yourself a pat on the back and relax with a nice Ale. Don't forget to show off to all your friends, too!

Gnome Ball

==>All Runescape Guide List<==

==>Runescape Agility Guide List<==

Gnome Ball is only accessible to RuneScape Members. Please subscribe to get this feature.

Please note this could be considered a 'Dangerous' minigame. You can take damage from playing Gnome Ball, so there is a small chance of death, in which case you will lose your items.

Introduction

A favourite game of the gnomes is Gnome Ball. The game is played on a pitch found in the Gnome Stronghold, where there are always a few gnomes and sometimes even other players waiting to play.

[image]

Location

The Gnome Ball field is located in the north-west corner of the Tree Gnome Stronghold, which is north-west of Ardougne.

[image: location of the gnome ball field]

Skill/Quest Requirements

There are no set skill or quest requirements to play Gnome Ball. However, as your Agility and Ranged levels increase, so will your gameplay.

Recommended Items

You may need to bring food due to the rough nature of this game.

Content

The objective of the game is to get a ball from the referee and throw it through the net at the other end of the pitch. This may sound simple, but there are a lot of gnomes between you and the goal, all with the intention of stopping you.

To play, you will need to use your Agility to dodge and tackle your opponents, then shoot at the goal and test your Ranged skill. For every goal you score, you will receive Ranged and Agility experience.

Once you have entered the pitch from the west side of the field, you can talk to the Gnome Ball referee who will tell you the rules of the game. He will then throw you a gnome ball and the game will begin.

[image]

On the pitch you will discover that you have three new game options. They are:

  • Pass - This allows you to pass to your gnome team mates, who will be wearing green.

  • Tackle - Choosing this option will allow you to tackle a gnome on the opposing team.

  • Shoot - This gives you the ability to shoot at the goal.

[image]

[image]

[image]

Now you will have to make your way up to the other side of the field while dodging any gnome ballers tackling you. Remember that the gnomes on your team will help you: pass to them while being chased by the opposing team and they will pass it back to you.

Once you have made it near the goal, you may try and score by simply clicking on it. The higher your Ranged level is, the better your chances of scoring.[image]

Your Gnome Ball score is in the top-right of your screen. Once you reach five goals, the game is over and you have won. You will receive an experience bonus and a gnome ball for your effort. You can put it to good use and play Gnome Ball with your friends across the land.

Please note that the score resets to zero after every five goals and that you will be unable to log out of RuneScape while playing Gnome Ball.

[image]

Also at the Gnome Ball field, the players' coach can be found. He walks around the edge of the field and you'll recognise him by his distinctive cap, moustache and sheep-skin coat.

In between the shouts of encouragement to his team, he may spare you some time to answer questions on the game and its various intricacies. His knowledge spans from the tactics and history of the game to the strange stars who have earned their fame over the years.

Agility - Areas

==>All Runescape Guide List<==

==>Runescape Agility Guide List<==

You'll find these hidden areas spread throughout the world. The in-game skill guide lists some of the special areas only accessible with specific Agility levels.

10[image]Rope swing to Moss Giant Island

49[image]Contortion in Yanille Dungeon small room
60[image]Squeeze through to God Wars temple
67[image]Yanille Dungeon's rubble climb
70[image]Rope descent to Saradomin's Encampment

[image]

Yanille Agility Dungeon

The Yanille Agility Dungeon is located slightly north of Yanille and south of the Fight Arena. To access the dungeon, you will need to cut the spiderweb with a weapon that has a slash attack, such as a knife or an axe, and then go down the stairs.

[image: location of yanille agility dungeon]

You may also access the Agility Dungeon from Yanille. The back entrance is locked, requiring level 82 Thieving to pick the door at the bottom of the stairs. There is a lockpick respawn nearby, next to a pile of rubble.

Like the Barbarian Outpost, there is a risk of failing obstacles in this course; if you fail the monkeybars, you will fall into an area which has Level 64 Poisonous Spiders, so remember to bring anti-poison potions.

[image]

You will need to use your skill to cross obstacles and access different areas of the dungeon. Be aware that while you only need to have an Agility level of 40 to overcome the first obstacle, you will need to have achieved at least level 67 in this skill to complete the entire course.

Sinister Chest

[image]

In this Agility Dungeon resides Salarin the Twisted. You can find him alongside Sigbert the Adventurer, who warns people against this evil druid.

Salarin is protected by his patron god and can only be killed by Elemental Strike spells. If you manage to defeat the unnatural Salarin, there is a chance that he may drop a sinister key, which is used to open the sinister chest in the skeleton room. The chest is located in the earlier part of the dungeon.

[image]

Upon opening the chest you will get poisoned, so it is a good idea to bring along an anti-poison of some type.

The chest contains a fixed set of nine herbs, which are:

2 x Harralander

3 x Ranarr weed

1 x Irit leaf

1 x Avantoe

1 x Kwuarm

1 x Torstol

Agility - Wilderness Course

==>All Runescape Guide List<==

==>Runescape Agility Guide List<==

The Wilderness Agility Course is a high level obstacle course that is found at the very north of the Wilderness, west of the Pirates' Hideout.

[image: location of the wilderness agility course]

As it is situated in such high-level Wilderness, some players prefer to use the teleport lever in Ardougne and save a long and hazardous walk. However, if you are worried about 'player killers' in the lever area, you may feel it necessary to take the long route in and avoid any deep-level Wilderness confrontation.

[image]

To enter the course you must cross a long narrow ridge, which requires an Agility level of 52 to attempt (but earning you 15 Agility experience), although you may fail and fall into a pit of white wolves. Throughout this course there is always a risk of failing obstacles and being prey to 'player killers', so don't forget to bring some food.

Agility - Werewolf Skullball

==>All Runescape Guide List<==

==>Runescape Agility Guide List<==

To play skullball you must have an Agility level of 25 or above. The course is found east of Canifis. To gain access to this area you will need to speak with the werewolf by the trapdoor, while being sure to wear the Ring of Charos.

[image: location of the werewolf skullball course]

Make sure you have completed the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest, obtaining the Ring of Charos before attempting to enter.

The skullball course is on the eastern side of the dungeon. To play, you will first have to speak to the skullball boss before the ball - which is indeed a skull - comes out of one of the holes.

[image: map of the werewolf skullball course][image]

The object of the game is to kick a skullball through each of the goals as fast as you can. You must kick the ball through all ten goals in order to receive Agility experience, which is awarded on completion of the course. The faster you do this the more Agility experience you will receive.

There are 3 actions to the skullball, they are:

  • Tap - Moves the skullball foward one square.

  • Kick - Moves the skullball forward four squares.

  • Shoot - Moves the skullball forward ten squares.

The werewolves' Agility course is on the west side of the dungeon. You must have at least level 60 Agility to attempt this course. Before you begin training, be sure you speak with the Agility Boss: he will explain how to use the course.

[image]

When you start a lap, the Agility Boss will throw a stick for you to fetch. You will then need to pick it up and hand it to the wolf at the end of the course to get the bonus experience.
